Saving a Young Soul by Helga Gruendler-Schierloh

Rudely expelled from the security and nurturing warmth of the womb of a woman who is presumed to be prepared to do whatever it takes to groom this new life into a capable, thriving, and successful, member

of the gathering of homo sapiens, every child is born with mysterious potential and unknown limitations, and a fledgling hope for our species,

and all that it entails.

Anxiously watching their children unfold, blossom, and grow under their care, parents are willing to tackle countless challenges and embrace numerous sacrifices in their blind devotion to fill society's need for another special someone to furnish valuable, and possibly profitable, contributions to a system sustained by supply and demand,

and all that it entails.

But then, the demons are creeping into the young life still awaiting its mission - step by step, drip by drip, penetrating that vulnerable mind, smudging it with harsh criticism and put-downs slyly disguised as good advice, or presented under the auspices of well-meaning guidance and beneficial discipline while all along squashing the child’s spirits,

and all that it entails.

To guard against cruel kindness is a step towards

saving a young soul.
